Catalog of Non-Stellar Objects

Abstract

A catalogue of non-stellar astronomical objects brighter than m(pg) = 12(m5) has been constructed. The Catalog includes galaxies, star clusters, nebulae, and asteroids. The main purpose for creation of the Catalog is the reduction in the probability of false alarm during searchers for artificial satellites. A Total of 1371 extra-solar system objects and 131 minor planets are included. The principles of construction, the completeness of the Catalog for each component, and the special problems of the asteroids are discussed.
