Abstract

LIBCRA, an automated circulation system developed for the David W. Taylor Naval Ship Research and Development Center Technical Information Libraries, utilizes the SHARP, Data Management System. The following output products are issued: listings of the entire file by author and borrower, inter-library loan records in chronological order of due-date, first and second overdue notices, lost materials records, lists of individual borrowers holdings, and annual reminder notices to all borrowers listing their holdings. The system is described in terms of file creation, file maintenance, data retrieval, and report definition. A cost analysis is also presented. (Author)
