Acoustic Performance of the A/M32A-52 Exhaust Muffler (Modified) during KC-135A Aircraft Ground Runup Operation.

Abstract

This report presents processed acoustic data acquired during ground runup operations on a KC-135A aircraft with and without a modified A/M32A-52 engine noise suppressor. The data show a significant reduction in acoustic power levels at high power settings. A short discussion for determining day-night equivalent levels is included. (Author)
