Economic Procurement Cutback Rule.

Abstract

A simple rule is developed to identify when a procurement cutback may be economical. The rule is meant to control the printing of a cutback recommedation on a supply control study. Further analysis is needed to determine if in fact a cutback is most economical. The value of the rule is that it is able to eliminate a great deal of possible cutback situations from further consideration. (Author)
