Poly(Organonitriles).

Abstract

Preparation of poly(organonitriles) via a ring opening polymerization of triazine monomers is not a viable approach. A variety of substituted triazines were screened using metallic and nonmetallic catalysts at elevated temperatures. Preparation of poly(organonitriles) via anionic polymerization of organic cyanates can be controlled to produce linear low molecular weight products.
