Feasibility Study of a Fiber Optics Plotter. Volume I. Technical Aspects.

Abstract

This study has established feasibility of a proposed fiber optics plotter system which produces bathythermograms on standard film aperture cards in both analog and digital form. Performance has been verified with a breadboard model. Outstanding features of the design are its all digital nature and the use of a new dry process film. Operational, reliability, production and cost aspects are considered based on a preliminary system design. (Author)
