Interfacial Elastic Parameters in Torsional Vibrations of a Periodic Structured Cylindrical Rod.

Abstract

In this note, we develop a method for qualitatively sketching the frequency spectrum of torsional waves propagating in a solid cylinder with periodic structure. The method depends upon the use of interfacial elastic parameter, which simplifies the problem considerably. (Author)
