A Digital Simulation Model of Message Handling in the Tactical Operations System. III. Further Extensions of the Model for Increased Interaction

Abstract

The present report is the last in a series of three which describe the inner working of MANMODEL, a simulation of the US Army Tactical Operations System (TOS). MANMODEL yields measures of system performance under different mixes of equipment, personnel and procedures. Sensitivity tests of MANMODEL have been successfully completed and are reported here. Formal validation of MANMODEL as a predictor of performance is discussed as a logical next step in its evolution. Model predictions might be validated against obtained data from TOX exercise operations.
