The Development of a Segmented Memory Manager for the UNIX Operating System with Applications in a Multiported Memory Environment.

Abstract

This thesis reports the development of a segmented memory manager for the UNIX operating system on a PDP-11/50 minicomputer. Considered in detail is the application of this memory manager to data segment boundary alignment and system protection in a multiported memory configuration. Recommendations are provided for the integration of this operating system into the total Naval Postgraduate School Signal Processing and Display Laboratory Environment. (Author)
