Theory and Design of Electrical Rotating Machinery.

Abstract

The objective of this program is to contribute toward new and improved rotating machines for Naval applications, with emphasis on superconduting machinery. Work has been performed on the theory of ac losses in multifilament superconductors and experiments were made to check the theory. A list of publications and abstracts of scientific papers published under the contract is given. Some work on the design of the iron circuit of a normal homopolar motor was concludeded. (Author)
