Waiting Time in an S-1, S Inventory System with Arbitrarily Distributed Lead Times.

Abstract

The customer waiting time distribution is derived for an S-1,S inventory system experiencing Poisson demands and gernal iid lead times. An analogy is made with the M/G/infinity queue in order to analyze the system. Some comparisons are made with an approximate result due to Higa, et al. (Author)
