Case Study: A Report on the Storm System of 2 March 1977.

Abstract

This Technical Note uses the storm of 2 March 1977 as verification for the empirical and subjective rules described in 3WW Technical Note 76-1, Low Level Moisture Advection and 3WW TN 76-2, Major Snowstorm Development Over the Midwest United States. The sudden northward shift of this storm was in accordance with the rules previously presented. (Author)
