Special EMC and Degradation Measurements on the AN/SPS-55 Radar Set.
Abstract
The measurements performed, divided into two general categories, are summarized. The equipment reference performance measurements provide information for correlating the interference validation measurement results, one to another and to compare to existing measured data. The sensitivity and dynamic range measurements include the characteristics at two receiver output test points; (1) IF output before detection and (2) the PPI video output. Also, the dynamic range was measured with the output taken at the first available video test point following the detector. Test signal modulations included representative shipboard interference signals as well as the nominal AN/SPS-55 values.
