Rocket Borne Observation of Electron Density during a Travelling Ionospheric Disturbance.

Abstract

This report presents measurements of the electron density profile made during a period of intense travelling ionospheric disturbance activity. The electron density profile was determined using a swept frequency r.f. impedance probe, and compared with ionograms from an ionosonde located directly below the rocket trajectory. (Author)
