Transonic Wind Tunnel Tests on a 1/8th Scale Mk82 Bomb Model.

Abstract

Transonic wind tunnel tests have been conducted on a 1/8th scale model of a Mk82 bomb. The tests covered an incidence range of -2 deg to 28 deg and a Mach number range of 0.95 to 1.20 for roll angles between -45 deg and + 45 deg. The tests indicated that the model exhibited static longitudinal stability for all conditions except at low Mach numbers and incidences greater than about 20 deg. (Author)
