Solar Cell Design Study.

Abstract

This report reviews the present state-of-the-art in the technology of selected III-V compounds most applicable to solar cells. Emphasis is placed on those areas of III-V materials technology that can be advanced most effectively in the development of high efficiency solar cells for use in the near-earth space environment. Solar cell configurations evaluated or modeled include homojunctions, heterojunctions, Schottky barriers, graded-structures, and multijunction or cascade designs. (Author)
