Abstract

This report describes the development of a coupled cavity traveling wave tube with the following specifications. Gain - 53 dB; Pulse Length - 200 microseconds; Modulation - Shadow Grid (less than 700 nanoseconds rise and fall times); Focusing -PPM; Efficiency - 25 percent minimum; Phase Linearity - Plus and minus 10 degrees.
