Physical and Chemical Properties of Squarate Complexes. I. Spectral, Magnetic, and Thermal Behavior of Dimeric Iron(III) Squarate.

Abstract

The magnetic susceptibility behavior of an iron(III) squarate complex with empirical formula Fe(C404)(OH)(H2O)3 has been studies in the range 20-300K. Presence of both terminally-coordinated bidentate squarate dianion and bridging hydroxy groups is supported by the infrared spectrum of the dimer.
