The Effects of Gear Pattern on Pavement Systems Performance

Abstract

This report presents the results of a study of the effects of gear pattern on airfield pavement performance. The report presents the methodology required to express aircraft traffic in terms of passes rather than the current coverage concept. The method is capable of considering wheel interaction rather than only surface geometry.
