Digital Representations of Engineering Drawings.

Abstract

Methods for producing the digital representation of engineering drawings are discussed. Particular attention is paid to the interactive creation of such drawings with computer-controlled drafting and design equipment and the auotmatic scanning of existing drawings. Hardware, software, and human interaction for interactive and scanning methods are discussed, with comments on where the systems are now and how they need to be improved in the future. (Author)
