Status of the Laser Automated Missile Position and Attitude Measurement System

Abstract

The Laser Automated Missile Position and Attitude Measurement system is a laser technique for automated, missile position, and attitude measurement on test ranges. During the past three years, the concept has been investigated and refined using experimental and analytical techniques. This report will describe the attitude measurement concept, present the results of laboratory and field tests, and summarize the status of hardware currently being fabricated by GTE Sylvania.
