Manufacturing Methods and Technology Engineering for Neodymium Doped YAG Laser Rods.

Abstract

The polishing fixture designed to hold sixteen rods during fabrication was received during this quarter. Using this fixture several lots of rods were processed to evaluate the proposed polishing process. Process data, times and yields were obtained. Rods were measured for adherence to specifications and data collected as a function of rod position with the block. (Author)
