Abstract

This report summarizes the results of the administration of the Electronic Prinicples Inventory to airmen assigned as Biomedical Equipment Maintenance Specialist (AFSC 40350). This report gives a detailed listing of the technical tasks and knowledge needed to perform the jobs within the specialty or career ladder. This specialty has the following functions: Installs, inspects, repairs, calibrates, and modifies biomedical equipment and support systems and advises concerning theory of operation, underlying physiological principles, and safe clinical application of biomedical equipment. Performs proper inspection and maintenance on biomedical equipment and support systems. Repairs, calibrates, modifies and installs biomedical equipment and support equipment systems. Maintains inspection and repair records. Supervises biomedical equipment maintenance personnel. (Author)
