Distribution and Classification of Ocean Fronts.

Abstract

Locations and acoustic significance of many fronts (water mass boundaries) are classified as strong, moderate and weak. The characteristics of the Gulf Stream Front, the Slope Front and the Sargasso Sea Front are described. (Author)
