Frost Degree Day and Related Theoretical Ice Thickness Curves for Selected Russian Arctic Stations.

Abstract

Frost-degree data for 15 locations on the USSR Arctic coast are used to construct theoretical ice growth curves. The frost degree data are based on mean monthly and mean daily maximum and minimum temperatures. Zubov's ice growth equations converts frost degree day accumulations into ice thickness. (Author)
