Common-Mode Noise in Sem Line Drivers and Receivers.

Abstract

System parameters controlling common-mode noise are identified. Common-mode noise rejection is shown to be specified in very few of the Navy's standard digital interface circuits. It is recommended that common-mode effects can be controlled by (1) establishing a set of performance criteria based upon system requirements and system environments, and (2) developing performance test procedures. Also recommended is the development of new standard interface circuits to meet system/environmental requirements not met by existing standard circuits. (Author)
