Abstract

This report contains seismic data from the Special Data Collection System (SDCS) and other sources for the Western Kazakh SSR, 29 July 1976, event. Published epicenter information from seismic observations is provided. Using SDCS stations, LASA and NORSAR, the epicenter location and magnitudes become: Origin time -- 05:00:08.5; Latitude -- 49.1N; Longitude -- 047.7E; and m sub b 6.3.
