This report contains seismic data from the Special Data Collection System (SDCS) and other sources for the Eastern Kazakh SSR, 4 July 1976, event. Published epicenter information from seismic observations is provided. Using SDCS stations, LASA and NORSAR, the epicenter location and magnitudes become: Origin time -- 02:57:02.2; Latitude -- 50.2 N; Longitude -- 078.6 E m sub b 5.8; and m sub s 3.9.
