Aerial Observations of Oceanic Fronts in the Western Mediterranean Sea.

Abstract

The distribution and physical characteristics of ocean fronts in the western Mediterranean and Gulf of Cadiz were studied from 370 temperature profiles taken by airborne expendable bathythermographs from 30 April to 19 May 1976. Acoustic regimes were defined from sonic layer depth and sound channel depth. (Author)
