Analysis of Supply Support Impacts on Equipment Operational Availability.

Abstract

Research was conducted to determine the impact, on material condition of ships' system and equipments, of three parameters; reliability, maintainability, and supply response. A computer program was developed to facilitate the impact analysis. Also, a mathematical model was developed to generate a coordinated shipboard allowance list (COSAL) and, hence, reduce supply response time. The feasibility of using the computer programs was demonstrated. An investigation to determine data availability was conducted. (Author)
