Frequency Synthesizers,

Abstract

Synthesizers are complex systems for generating a large number of stable frequencies. The reduction of the radio-transmitter frequency band-widths due to the ever increasing number of communication devices that cause a saturation of the available frequency bands, and the required high quality of transmission require highly stable radio frequency sources. Sources of high frequencies based on the principle of adding frequencies, ie., synthesis, enable the use of multiple channel devices with fast selection of the desired channel. Similar problems are encountered with the construction of measuring generators. (Author)
