Deformed Aluminum Alloy Metallography.

Abstract

This book places emphasis on phase formations and special features of eight principal alloy systems (including pure aluminum) of deformed aluminum alloys, the effects of various working methods (e.g. extrusion, rolling, forging, cold-drawing, etc.) on the alloy structures, and the peculiarities and regularities of alloy structures under various kinds of heat treatments (e.g. homogenization, annealing, quenching, ageing, etc.). Diagrams and accompanying explanations are generally included for the illustration of typical cases.
