Review and Conceptual Analysis of the Employee Turnover Process.

Abstract

Research on employee turnover conducted since the Porter and Steers (1973) Review is analyzed. Based on the review a conceptual model of the employee turnover process is presented. This model includes individual, organizational, and environmental variables. A separate review (Hand et al., 1977, TR-3) provides a detailed analysis of the military attrition research. (Author)
