Simulation Study of X-Ray System for the 105 MM HE Projectile M1 Melt-Pour Facility at Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant.

Abstract

This report presents the results of a digital computer simulation study of the X-ray system characteristics for the new automated 105 MM HE Projectile Melt-Pour Facility at Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant. The study was performed to provide a comprehensive analysis of the X-ray inspection system and to determine if the system can effectively meet the production requirements within the guidelines of equipment capabilities and safety limitations.
