Instrumentation for Digital Sonar Data Processing.

Abstract

The purpose of this document is to outline a broad and flexible program to mechanize and process sonar data using digital techniques. The methods will be elementary but capable of expansion. They shall be accomplished by commercially available digital computer components. There shall be the very minimum of engineering required of a specific component nature; rather, the tasks will involve the fitting together of the elements as purchased.
