Anisothermal Oxidation of Titanium and Its Alloys.
Abstract
The objective of this research has been to provide from laboratory experiments and analyses a capability for the prediction of oxidation-associated ignition of reactive metals; especially titanium and its alloys. Emphasis was placed upon the generation of basic information for subsequent application to technical problem areas where high rates of heating prevail or are suspect, as in engine fires and laser-assisted ignition.
