Mosaic Models for Image Analysis and Synthesis.

Abstract

This report is concerned with a class of models for natural images that treat an image as a mosaic, composed of patches generated by a random geometric process. These models are contrasted with conventional statistical image models. Proposed applications of such models in image analysis and synthesis are discussed. (Author)
