Raster to Lineal Conversion Analysis.

Abstract

This report addresses the strong and weak points of past efforts in raster to lineal processing and presents a solution for performing the conversion by reducing the volume and complexity of the data using a skeletonization algorithm. The resultant software system was written in Fortran for running on the Univac 1108.
