Abstract

The Reserve Forces Policy Board reviews and comments on major issues affecting the functioning of the National Guard and Reserve Components as an integral part of the Total Force. Major subject areas addressed include Recruiting and Retention, DOPMA/ROPMA, Mobilization and Deployment Planning, Reserve Compensation System Study, and Unionization as each affects readiness. The report also notes the 25th Anniversary of the RFPB as a statutory body and recognizes the Honorable John Slezak upon his retirement as Chairman after twenty years of service. (Author)
