Implementation of a User Interface with the Vector General Graphics Display System.

Abstract

The development and implementation of refresh graphics software for the Vector General Display System on a PDP-11 minicomputer is discussed. Modification and expansion of existing software routines, along with additional software design and development is presented. As an addition to the existing C programming language, a version of BASIC was implemented as a second language capable of utilizing the Vector General software. The unsuccessful implementation of a version of FORTRAN with the display system software and the problems involved are discussed. Conclusions and recommendations are offered, and a detailed user's manual is appended. (Author)
