Abstract

Polyhedral metallocarboranes containing two different transition metal vertices can be prepared by use of either polyhedral expansion or polyhedral subrogation reactions on previously prepared metallocarboranes. To assess the effect of a one electron deficiency, the x-ray structural determination of (C5H5)2FeCoC2B7H9 was undertaken.
