High Energy-Density Electrodes for Alkali-Metal Battery Systems

Abstract

One major impediment in the development of new alkali-metal battery systems with high energy density is the lack of suitable electrode materials. Dichalcogenides of the Group IV and V transition metals intercalated with lithium or sodium offer exciting possibilities as novel high energy-density electrodes.
