Performance of the 100 Element Albedo Sensor Experiment on the Satellite Miranda (X4).

Abstract

This Report describes the 100 element albedo sensor as installed in the Miranda satellite and the analysis of the results obtained. The brightness variation of the earth in the region of the terminator is determined. The results also show that the sensor could be used to measure attitude to an accuracy of about 0.1 deg. (Author)
