Uniform Approximation with Constraints.
Abstract
A survey of uniform approximation with constraints is given. Both linear and nonlinear theories are discussed as well as general functional analytic approaches. The discussions of the various theories corresponding to different side conditions includes existence, characterization uniqueness, computational and rates of approximation results. The paper includes 168 references and is an exhaustive survey of this theory. (Author)
