Cost and Training Effectiveness Analysis for Stand-Off Target Acquisition Surveillance System.

Abstract

This report describes a Cost and Training Effectiveness Analysis for the Stand-off Target Acquisition Surveillance system conducted as part of the Cost and Operational Effectiveness Analysis. In this analysis, training requirements are evaluated to formulate candidate training systems. Each candidate is examined in terms of its life cycle cost and relative training effectiveness, using cost and effectiveness models specifically developed for this study. The candidates are ranked in accordance with the cost and effectiveness analysis results, significant areas of potential learning deficit, and certain qualitative considerations. From the alternatives, a training system is recommended; and from this overall study, specific information is provided for use in the Cost and Operational Effectiveness Analysis. (Author)
