Crimp Connection Reliability.

Abstract

Martin Marietta has conducted a 12 month program to collect and analyze crimp connection reliability data. More than 3.8 billion part hours of data were collected. A failure rate mathematical model for crimp connections has been developed for inclusion in MIL-HDBK-217B. Also included in the report is a discussion of the physical characteristics of crimped connections and guidelines for their selection and application. (Author)
