Abstract

This Center Technical Report is divided into three parts. A series of definitions and formulas necessary for understanding and computing the product-moment correlation are presented in Part I. In Part II, the historical development of the linear regression model is presented, illustrating various models and their assumptions. Finally, Part III contains Ardie Lubin's statement of ethics for using statistics in research and a series of diagnostic checks for the one-predictor linear regression model. (Author)
