On the Excitation of Axially Symmetric Modes of a Cylindrical Cavity for High Fluence SGEMP Simulation

Abstract

This excitation of the axially symmetric modes of a cylindrical tank are considered for circumstances which approximate those of a highly space- charge-limited SGEMP situation. The amplitudes of excitation are discussed from both a general point of view and with specific reference to the Physics International tank used with the Owl II photon source. (Author)
