Turbulent Velocity Measurement with an Airfoil Probe,

Abstract

The objective of this report is to have as complete a description as possible of the characteristics of the probe as seen now, and to make it available to the oceanographic community so that they can understand the system of measurement in use, and then interpret the results of the data taken. As will be noticed in reading this report, there are gaps in the present knowledge and the work in progress needed to fill these gaps is outlined.
