Integration of Fire Protection Into Large Automated Storage Systems at Naval Shore Facilities.

Abstract

Two methods of integrating automatic sprinkler protection into high rise, rack storage systems are described with the aid of detailed sketches. The two schemes are hydraulically analyzed and compared to the performance of conventional systems. A cost effectiveness analysis is made of one system which utilizes tubular rack columns as water conductors. (Author)
